Data we collect
Patente Smart does not require an account. You can keep practicing without signing in. Study data is mainly stored on your device, including progress, mistakes, favorites, mock exam records, direction training results, settings, and reminder preferences.
Supported account-enabled versions can use Apple or Google sign-in. We use Supabase Auth to create or manage your account and may store your email address, Apple relay email, Google account email, user ID, avatar URL, and required session information. The current Android version does not require sign-in.
This version does not collect location, contacts, phone, or health data and does not use advertising tracking.
Sign-in
In account-enabled versions, Apple sign-in and Google sign-in are used for account creation, learning record sync, and account management. You can also continue without signing in. Current progress, mistakes, and favorites are mainly stored locally on your device.
Learning leaderboard and avatars
You can practise without signing in. Viewing the leaderboard and editing your leaderboard profile require sign-in. Other signed-in users can see your display name, avatar, rank, answer count and accuracy. We do not show your email, phone number, raw account identifier, payment records or full answer history. You can hide your ranking in leaderboard settings without losing your learning records.
You may use your sign-in avatar, a system avatar, or choose one photo through the system photo picker. The app reads only the selected photo, crops and compresses it on your device, removes EXIF metadata including location, and uploads the resulting avatar to Supabase Storage. It does not upload your entire photo library, the original filename or original metadata.
Leaderboard avatars are intended for public display; a person with an image URL may access that image. Hiding your ranking removes your profile from other users’ standings. To request deletion of an uploaded avatar file, contact the support email below.
You can generate a learning-achievement poster on your device and save it to Photos or send it to an app you choose through the system share sheet. The poster includes your displayed name, avatar, rank and learning statistics. It stays on your device until you choose to share it. Permission to add an image to Photos is requested only when you tap Save.
Legacy private study teams
If you choose to create or join a private study team, we store your team display name, system-avatar identifier, team membership, daily valid-question count, shared check-ins, same-paper challenge results, optional exam date, and reminder preferences. This supports team progress, challenge recovery, and reminders you allow.
Team members can see only your display name, system avatar, daily completion progress, shared team totals, and team-challenge score. We do not share your email, phone number, sign-in method, membership status, payment history, full mistake history, complete answer history, or push token with teammates. Teams are private and do not include stranger search, contact access, or free-form chat.
Notifications
The app can provide daily practice reminders. Notifications start only after you allow them. You can turn reminders off in the app or disable notification permission in system settings.
AI and network services
When you use AI Teacher, the app sends the relevant learning context, your question text, and images you choose to upload to our secure API to generate learning explanations. Official answers remain based on the local question database; AI is used only as a study aid.
When you submit question feedback, the feedback content is sent to our server to help fix question, translation, keyword, image, or explanation issues.
Payments
Digital membership features in the iOS app are processed by Apple In-App Purchase / StoreKit. Payments, refunds, and purchase records are handled by Apple.
Deleting data
You can delete your cloud sign-in account from the app settings. Deleting the app removes local study records stored on your device.
